8 p.m….!!!
We had a great weekend with Carmen and Jane who left early this morning.
Our friends, Bob and Susan Nishizaki, celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary this weekend in Monterey, visited and we enjoyed lunch at Zameens, a local Mediterranean favorite in Aptos. We’ve known Bob and Susan for 26 years…!!!
This evening Irene is running a low grade fever… 99.5. Hopefully a good night’s rest will find her in a better place tomorrow.

Irene’s sisters, Carmen and Jane, are here and spending the weekend. They always breathe life into her…!!!
Even so, Irene’s nausea is hovering around 8 on a scale of 1-10. It was 9+ last evening. She’s very uncomfortable; dialysis today was better than yesterday but the recovery is still a challenge. She’s also coughing because of sinus activity or a cold.
This morning Irene made a profound comment. She said that she can endure the suffering when she worships through the tears. Somberly muse on that statement.
Irene’s unyielding faith is inspiring and humbling…as usual.
