Dear loved ones. This morning as Connor and I checked the updates we were brought to tears. I feel Connor is old enough to be brought into the loop. We can get so caught up in what we think life should look like. The story God is choosing you to write shows us that life is hard and not what we call fair. It puts our wants into perspective. Dave you need to write a book with your daily updates. They are truly touching. We are praying for you, hurting with you and celebrating the small gifts that Irene was given today.

Your family is precious to many of us prayer warriors who are standing with you in this time, even in the midst of this news today.

Please assure Irene that she IS a light, shining in the midst of a storm. That her testimony has been a blessing to many of us. And Dave, the way you write about her, with such honesty and the most beautiful outpouring of love for her, is amazing.  Inspiring.

You’re in many prayers, from coast to coast. I’m so thankful I met you, too, so I could get to know your beautiful daughter, JoAnna.
