Well Wishes From Mike Taylor

Dave,

I had been meaning to send you a message all week for best wishes, and that my family’s prayers are pulling for Irene’s rapid and complete recovery.  We are constantly amazed about what rare and unusual things can befall us at any time, and we are fully behind how you and Irene decided upon a full counter attack.  I can’t imagine how tremendously difficult it must be on all, but also know your faith cannot be any stronger than it is.  I just saw Greg who said you were looking good all things considering.  Hang in there Dave, and we are all saying prayers for Irene’s speedy recovery.

Well Wishes From Valerie Lyons

Dave,

My heart is touched so very deeply by your updates and especially the latest one this afternoon.  I’m struggling with what to say because it seems that everything has been expressed so eloquently by so many already. All I can add is “me too.”

I’ve found the website very comforting and hope to meet Irene, Jocelyn and JoAnna in person some day. You’re fortunate to be surrounded by such great beauty and grace.

Thank you for sharing this intimate family experience in such a loving and caring way.

More Than A Conqueror

Irene Dias is More Than A Conqueror

My dad called and woke me up at 5:30a, this morning requesting my presence at my mom’s bedside.  I am not there yet because I am picking JoAnna up at 9:30a, in San Jose so we can go see my mom together.

God’s Peace Is Amazing.  The gift he laid on my heart to share with my Dad, Our Rock:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

AMEN
