8 p.m.

Irene was discharged @ 4 p.m. today…exactly 12 hours from the time that I awoke her this morning for the trek to UCSF. The procedure was successful with some new protocol instructions relative dialysis treatment scheduled for tomorrow and beyond.

Irene is weary but sharing her signature smile following general anesthesia…considering the last 2 surgeries were brutal for her to awaken and recover.  She’s resting comfortably @ home this evening……..thanks for the many expressions of care…and prayer.

It’s been a long but very good day…….
