Irene experienced another needle infiltration today at dialysis.  She’s icing and elevating her arm this evening.

KNEE replacement ….!!!

Irene’s sister, Carmen, had knee replacement surgery last week.  On Sunday, we made a quick dash to visit her in Merced where we also saw their sister, Jane.

Wow ….!!!

We made it home in time to savor a spectacular, high sky, Monterey Bay sunset ….

Irene steadily plods along her surreal journey of faith.

What an evening ….!!!

Last night Gary and Cathy Daichendt hosted an amazing dinner with Chuck Colson, former member of the Nixon Administration who was imprisoned after the Watergate Scandal.  While incarcerated, Chuck converted to Christianity and subsequently founded Prison Fellowship, an organization that has reduced recidivism to 8% for prisoners who go through the program.  The national average is over 60%.  JoAnna and I were among 40 friends in the Daichendts’ lovely Laguna Beach home.  Colson inspired us with insightful and challenging comments relating to the current state of our society and the world around us.  It was an honor to spend such quality time with him.
