The Worst Infiltration Yet

7.30 p.m…

Thanks for checking in…!!!

Irene is nursing another needle infiltration>…and, in her words “the worst one to date”.

She called me at 4 p.m., advising that she was driving home from a late afternoon episode.  The dialysis needle infiltrated the fistula causing significant discomfort and forcing early termination of today’s treatment.  She’s spending the evening in PAIN, on ICE, and hoping to find that “comfortable position” for the evening and overnight.

Thanks for caring,
Dave

Greg and Colleen

Greg and Colleen

My brother, Greg, and his bride, Colleen, joined us for the weekend ….!!!

After “cruising” the region on Saturday we had a fabulous dinner @ Fandango’s in Pacific Grove before braving the windy evening along the Pebble Beach waterfront.

What a FANTASTIC sunset on Sunday evening in Aptos ….!!!

Thanks for caring,

Dave

Aberration

ABERRATION defined:

“…a deviation or departure from what is normal or desirable”

UCSF called today with a terrific update…the “Light Chain” blood test strongly indicates that the AMYLOID remains in remission…!!!

By the numbers:

Kappa: 35.8
Lambda: 31.2
Ratio: 1.5

Jennifer Knoche, Doctor Damon’s Oncology nurse, called last month’s test an aberration…and for that, we rejoice…!!!

Yesterday Irene was praying and reading Lamentations 3:55-59:

I called on your name, O Lord,
from the depths of the pit.
You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears
to my cry for relief.”
You came near when I called you,
and you said, “Do not fear.”
O Lord, you took up my case;
you redeemed my life.
You have seen, O Lord, the wrong done to me.
Uphold my cause!

Can you imagine what life would be like if God wasn’t there for us…?  To whom would we turn? To whom would our cry of desperation fall upon that would respond to us in our darkest hour?

Yes, AMYLOID is an aberration…but our God is an awesome God.  He hears and responds to the intercessory prayer of His people.

THANK YOU for being among the throng of prayer warriors who faithfully petition the One who loves us and gave his life for us.

Thanks for caring,
Dave
