Thankful

10.30 am

Thanks for checking in.

I cris-crossed the state of CA from north to south twice this week serving many clients and didn’t have time for an update. My bad…!!!

Irene’s having a good morning, having experienced a good night’s sleep. It was a typical week… M, W, F, dialysis, with the usual routines accompanying each day.

Thanks for the many expressions of care and concern that come Irene’s way.

December 2 is the next target date…a visit to UCSF for the quarterly blood panel and Oncology visit.

Early

8 p.m.

Thanks for checking in on Irene…!!!

She was released from dialysis 30 minutes early today due to a closely guarded needle infiltration that was causing significant pain.

Same song, same verse…nausea, fatigue are challenging her but she seems to be past the most difficult days of her COLD.

Irene had physical therapy yesterday; she’s making slow progress but has limited mobility and strength.

She’s still SMILING and only those closest to her would even recognize the difficulties that she overcomes and manages on a 24/7 basis.

Thanks for caring,
Dave

Perseverance

PERSEVERANCE

When all the world is looming dark
And things seem not so clear,
When shadows seem to hover ’round
Lord, may I persevere.

When it seems everything’s been tried
And there’s no way to go,
Just let me keep remembering
Sometimes the journey’s slow.

I may just need to stop and rest
Along the path I trod,
A time to try to understand
And have my talk with God.

As I gain new strength to carry on
Without a doubt or fear,
Somehow I know things will be right,
And so, I persevere.
