Rough Day

7 p.m.

I texted Irene to check on her status while she was at dialysis but after seeing her this evening regretted that I had not picked her up.  She drove herself both ways which is her usual routine.

She’s completely WRUNG out…due to the normal course of dialysis and her COLD;  try sitting for 3 1/2 hours perfectly still while at dialysis (to avoid a needle infiltration) with the nuisance of sneezing and coughing.

She’s trying to sleep it off now; tossing and turning with her wrist still ACHING as it always does following dialysis.

…and yes, the ever present, unrelenting nausea is RAGING…

Thanks for caring…we’re hoping that she bounces back tomorrow.

Cold

5 p.m.

Thanks for checking in.

Irene’s caught a COLD…!!!

The nausea was unrelenting yesterday but has let up a bit today; it is still ever present, but hovering in the 4-5 range on a 1-10 scale.

Her WRIST aches.

She’s balancing significant emotional swings…the ongoing FATIGUE factor is also very real.

Thanks for caring,
Dave

Rough

7.30 pm

Thanks for checking in!

Irene is tustling with the nausea surfing @ 7 on a 1-10 scale.

Her wrist is aching which it usually does following treatment.

Trying to find that comfortable position is a challenge; she’s like a fish out of water and most likely will be throughout the night. (Part of the kidney failure is insomnia). How she endures this endless “new normal” is beyond me…except her FAITH.

Hoping for a BOUNCE back tomorrow.

Thanks for caring,
Dave
