8.15 p.m.

Irene’s experiencing a very rough evening after dialysis treatment was terminated 30 minutes early due to unrelenting arm pain in her fistula region. She’s VERY nauseated….in her words the thresholds exceeds 10 on a 1-10 scale. Hopefully she’ll manage to sleep through the night because we’re up and on the road early tomorrow morning to UCSF…and 8 am appointment with Dr. Lloyd Damon, her oncologist and Primary Amyloidosis specialist, then 1 pm with Dr. Charles Eichler, her vascular surgeon.
