We had a very fun time Sunday evening with Shannon and Jake Fidiam treating us for dinner at Little Tampico Restaurant in Soquel.  Matt and Caleb were at a baseball tournament.

A HOT Day in the Central Valley!!!

We had a great lunch with Greg (my brother) and Colleen then afterward went to the ranch in Oakdale.  The 110,000 almond trees were planted on 900 acres in January.  It was fun to see them thriving in the 107 degree heat and we’re fortunate that there’s a huge aquifer to water those baby trees ….!!!

Despite a very rough Friday evening and overnight for Irene after dialysis treatment she bounced back and had a GREAT day.  Does anyone define the word TOUGH any better than Irene?  Does her smile reflect the rugged journey she travels?

We were cooler and poolside at Greg’s and Colleens’ house where dad and mom joined us ….!!!

Dad gave Greg and me a few shuffleboard lessons ….!!!

We had an intimate celebration of mom’s 75th birthday which was officially on August 26th ….!!!  In September we’re planning a larger JOINT birthday celebration for mom’s birthday and dad’s.  Dad turns 80 in October ….1!!
