Jocelyn’s Prayer

Jocelyn’s Prayer

I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

May there be peace within.

I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.

I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

May you be content with yourself just the way you are.

I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

Let peace settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.

Lord, You are at work in ways I cannot predict or imagine.

When I am tempted to be embittered at my circumstances,

let me remember that You are working all things together

for my good and that the only safe refuge is under Your wings.

MOM IS AN OVERCOMER.

EXPECT A MIRACLE!

What A Good God You’ve Been To Me

Our friend Hosanna Loh of Nature’s Praise recently posted a wonderful slideshow of some of her sunset photos as a worship video, featuring the music of Tommy Walker. Because of copyright restrictions Hosanna must respect, we cannot display it here, but you can see it on YouTube here. It’s very encouraging!

Cramp

Most everyone has heard of the self, fire retarding technique, “Stop, Drop and Roll…!!!”.

What do you think of when you hear, “hot, perspiring, shivering, and massive leg pain”???  If you thought of severe CRAMPING, you’re right…!!!

Irene had a major episode at dialysis treatment today.  She experienced a 25 minute cramp in her right calf, accompanied with excruciating pain leading to her unconsciousness for a short period of time.  She passed out in the midst of several medical aides trying to bring her relief. She also had another needle infiltration adding insult to injury.

I was notified shortly after 5 p.m. that Irene could not drive home.  Fortunately, our good friend, Tom Steipp, was nearby and drove me to Watsonville in order to recover Irene’s car.  Thanks, Tom…!!! When Tom and I arrived at Satellite Dialysis the medical team was still treating her with oxygen.  Deb, the lead nurse, reported that they didn’t have a good explanation for the SEVERE cramping episode that Irene endured because they were not removing excess fluid from her body.  Removing excess fluid during dialysis can be a root cause of cramping.

Irene’s hobbling because of the lingering effects and nursing the injury to her arm…and the nausea continues to rage.

Hoping for a better tomorrow…!!!

Thanks for caring,
Dave
