Dear Irene…I heard about your challenge from Dave. I was so touched by Dave’s obvious love for you, and also by your spirit and that of your family. Learning more from your website confirmed for me what a unique individual you are and how fortunate you and your family are to be taking this journey together.

You have been in my thoughts and prayers since hearing about your ordeal, and you will continue to reside there. Some may not understand this, but I know you will: You are truly blessed with intangibles that so many will unfortunately never know—and you have made a monumental difference in the lives of so many. Irene was listening to “Dr. Laura” recently who was talking about a lady who maintained a positive attitude ….

One morning she woke up with 3 hairs on her head, responding, “I can put my hair in a barrette; this is going to be a good day”

The next morning she woke up with 2 hairs on her head, responding “I can part my hair in the middle; this is going to be a good day”

The next morning she woke up with 1 hair on her head, responding “I can put my hair in a pony tail; this is going to be a good day”

The next morning she woke up with no hair on her head, responding “I don’t have to do anything to my hair today; it’s going to be a good day”

Now that’s maintaining a positive ATTITUDE!

Because of Christmas Day this Tuesday, the dialysis schedule was modified and Irene had treatment this morning.  This week it’s SWF rather than the typical MWF routine.  After returning home from dialysis she dashed to the mall for some last minute stocking stuffers.

Shirley Churchill worked with Irene on physiology techniques for 3 1/2 + hours ….!!!!!  What a blessing!!

A proper attitude is important ….

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
